Bold Slab Serif Typefaces

Slab serif typefaces feature thick, block-like feet. They combine the readability of serifs with a bold, industrial aesthetic ideal for headlines.

Slab serifs are the heavy lifters of the font world. They have serifs (feet), but instead of being delicate, they are thick blocks—often as thick as the letters themselves. They were born during the Industrial Revolution for advertising posters that needed to be seen from down the street.

These fonts feel engineered, strong, and confident. They pair really well with clean sans-serif body text. We might use a slab serif for a big header or a Call-to-Action where we want to say, "We are solid and dependable."
