Creating a Color Palette
A color palette is the chosen selection of colors used across a brand or project. It ensures consistency, reinforces brand identity, and evokes specific moods.
A palette is our strategic toolkit. It’s not just random colors we like; it’s a specific set of Primary (brand identity), Secondary (backgrounds), and Accent (action) colors.
Sticking to a strict palette is what makes a brand look professional. If every page used a different blue, the site would look broken. We generally follow the 60-30-10 rule: 60% neutral/dominant color, 30% secondary brand color, and 10% accent color. This balance ensures the important stuff pops without overwhelming the user.
