"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..." It’s the most famous nonsense in history. It’s scrambled Latin used as placeholder text. Why do we use it? Because if we showed a client a design with real English text, they would immediately start reading it and correcting the grammar. They’d ignore the layout entirely. Lorem Ipsum looks like English visually, but it carries no meaning. It forces you to judge the design, the spacing, and the font choice without getting distracted by the words. It’s a temporary tool for the structural phase of design.
