What Full-Stack Development Covers End to End

The term “full-stack developer” refers to a developer that can build out both the front-end and back-end of a digital application and understand all the components of that process. A full-stack developer knows how to create user interfaces, how the server processes requests made by those user interfaces, how to use a database to store that information, and how to use an API to connect the different pieces of the application together. This extensive knowledge base allows full-stack developers to work on many parts of a project, which can save time for companies, as they can work independently and decrease dependencies on others to complete the final product in a timely manner.

From an application perspective, a full-stack developer typically builds out the front end using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, in addition to other front-end frameworks and tools, and creates the back end with cloud platforms, databases, authentication systems, and deployment pipelines. The advantage of the full-stack approach is its flexibility; it allows teams to prototype more quickly, deal with problems in a more holistic manner, and develop more robust user interfaces.
