Job Details
1. Security-Focused Infrastructure Design
Architect and implement secure cloud infrastructure with a security-first approach
Design application and system architecture to minimise exposure to cyber threats
Reduce reliance on public IPs and implement secure connectivity models
2. Vulnerability Management & Patching
Perform regular OS and application-level patching (monthly or as required)
Identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities across infrastructure and applications
Ensure EC2 instances and other cloud resources remain up-to-date and secure
3. Firewall & Network Security
Review and restrict inbound/outbound firewall rules and policies
Eliminate overly permissive access and enforce least-privilege principles
Continuously monitor and improve network security posture
4. System Maintenance & Hardening
Establish and manage ongoing system and software maintenance processes
Maintain software dependencies, runtime environments, and packages
Harden systems to withstand intrusion attempts, malware, and cyber attacks
5. Risk Assessment & Mitigation
Categorise risks based on severity and business impact
Implement remediation strategies without disrupting application functionality
Develop secure infrastructure models with minimal operational risk
6. Identity & Access Management
Enforce strong password policies and secure authentication mechanisms
Implement password rotation and access control best practices
Manage roles, permissions, and secure access across the ecosystem
7. Data Protection & Encryption
Implement encryption for data at rest and in transit
Apply data loss prevention (DLP) strategies
Ensure compliance with security standards and policies
Skill & Experience
- PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Implement complex features

Key Skills & Experience
Strong experience with AWS cloud services (especially EC2, VPC, Security Groups, IAM)
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
Experience with vulnerability management and patching processes
Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and secure architecture design
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure CI/CD pipelines
Experience in system hardening, monitoring, and incident prevention
Understanding of encryption, data protection, and compliance frameworks
